How Your Abs Get Ripped
Abs get ripped by working out not only hard, but smart.
First thing is to understand our abdomen, that body part which never fails to impress women if contoured to top form. Who wouldn’t want to get admiring stares from them? Abs are muscles. All of us have it, but just not of the chiseled, fitness coach kind. To let your abs show, you have to first lose that fat located in our midsection. You have to burn calories and fat muscles so your abs can get ripped and start to show.
Fat gets easily stored in our midsection, like in our waist, abdomen and hips. Particularly in women, many complain about increasing hip and waist size. For sure you’ve heard one or two women refuse that ice cream cone or chocolate cake because they say ‘it goes straight to my hips! To get lean and mean, you have to eat the right food, which not necessarily translates to a diet. There’s hundreds of diet plans in the market that promise to get your abs ripped, but you have to be realistic and find out what works best for you. A particular diet plan can burn more calories for you, but may produce different results for someone else.
Change what you eat. Be practical and realistic in changing your eating habits. You may get all pumped up and excited about your goal of getting ripped abs and go on a sudden diet, but this might be short lived once you realize you’re not eating your favorite food. If your daily work lunch are burger and fries and you suddenly switch to Caesar salad, then you might just get frustrated by day 2. For your abs to get ripped, it helps when you start a food journal and write down your intake, so you can monitor how many calories you consume and which food gives it the most.
For your abs to get ripped, you have to start with losing that excess fat in your waist. Choice work outs and exercises will help you burn fat. Bear in mind though that there is no such thing as losing spot fat or fat in a specific body part such as your tummy. When your body is lean and the percentage of fat has gone down, muscles will start to become defined. Your much awaited six-pack will start to show. Patience and determination will produce results the next time you look at yourself in the mirror. Of course, your abdominal muscles won’t get defined all at once. No one ever got a lean stomach in just a few days. Keep in mind that the guy on the poster with the gleaming abs didn’t get it overnight. He started the same way you did. And if you keep a positive attitude, that dream goal of a six-pack ab will soon happen.
